The ST1300 is 10 years old this year and actually doesn't have a lot of miles on it, but we spent $1350 dollars on the clutch and coolant system this quarter, after spending almost $500 last quarter on master cylinder issues last quarter. I'm pretty frustrated spending so much for repairs on this vehicle we don't even hardly use. We also spent $475 on new tires for the Camry this month, hopefully that will be that last we have to spend significant on that vehicle. We plan to sell it in 2019 and get a new Honda Odessey Minivan in preparation for retirement. At that point it will be 15 years old and probably will have less than 140K miles.
The truck pretty much only gets driven when we go canoeing, or I drive to work about 3 days a month, it still starts up every time and is our forever vehicle. We also walked a lot of miles this quarter. DH had over 1.2 million steps for 555 miles this quarter, and I walked over a million steps for 435 miles. A lot of that walking was around Busch Gardens, but we also walk to Publix, the Library, the Firehouse and at work during breaks. We both routinely get over 10K steps every day. It has helped us maintain or lose weight and stay healthy as we age and prepare to retire. Try it, you'll like it.
