Today is National Bike to Work Day, so of course I needed to make sure to ride in today. But there was a special event here in Temple Terrace, a chance to ride with neighbors, and Mayor Frank Chillura in a Bike With The Mayor event. So, I worked late yesterday in order to be able to arrive later after the morning commute event. There was lots of freebies like helmets, bike lights, tshirts, patch kits, first aid kits, donuts and coffee. I actually had to leave before the mayor arrived, but it was nice to speak with fellow bikers and event organizers.
Even if you don't ride your bike to work, try to get out this weekend and ride a mile or two. You will enjoy yourself and wonder why you don't do it more often.
