Went to Busch Gardens to see a couple of classic rock concerts on Sunday. It was a beautiful sunny FL day, but that wasn't enough to bring out more than 1000 people. We showed up 10 minutes before the start and were able to walk up to the front row of the stand up section.
Both bands, Marshall Tucker & Dickey Betts (formerly of Allman Bros) played a lot of great guitar. But bith guys have been playing over 44 years amd they've lost their singing voices. At least Marshall Tucker has passed the torch onto a young gun to sing the hit songs the crowd expects. But not Dickey. He played for over an hour and didn't sing any words until the encore Ramblin Man - and it was terrible. Not sure if he was drunk, or is just old - or both.
