Despite a rainy start to the weekend, we aborted plans to ride the motorcycle across town to the Born To Ride Jam in Pinellas Park, and drove the car instead. There were thousands of people there for the concert with many bands including @FOGHAT, Molly Hatchet, Joan Jett and Paul Rodgers. All these old 80's bands sure bring out the old fans, we were young in our 50's compared to most.
As always when we're at a rock show, we run into Medicine Man, the crazy dude from the #Cowhead radio show in Tampa. He's a local celebrity with all his silly tricks to get tickets to concerts from Cowhead.
Anyway, we ran into some good friends and sat with them and enjoyed a few of the bands. Next weekend we're off to St Pete again for the Ribfest and more rock n roll featuring REO, Edgar Winter, Sister Hazel and Steppenwolf.
