As Luck Would Have It

It's Scott's lucky day today, he's alive. Just a few scraped up knees and elbows, possibly some broken toes and a bum shoulder. He's hobbled and achy, but alive. Today he was in a collision on his motorcycle - a truck pulled out in front of him to cross highway 301 and he T-boned the front and went flying over. I was just riding my motorcycle in front of him and the truck gunned it to make it between us. But the dude figured it wrong. Both the truck and the motorcycle sustained heavy damage and had to be towed away. The truck driver was Hispanic, didn't speak English, didn't even own the vehicle - so of course there is no registration or insurance, and he had no driver license. He was given a couple citations and the vehicle impounded. But now our motorcycle is toast, burned up, damaged, a piece of junk. Hopefully, our insurance company will pay enough to cover the damage.
It's a tough deal, you try to do all the right things and think that the bad things won't happen. Luckily, the bike is big and heavy and it probably saved him from absorbing more impact. Also the helmet did its job, bouncing off the pavement so that his shoulder could take the hit. Good thing we have lots of Thermacare wraps and a hot tub. But he's moving slow, like an old man. Thinking like a lazy person, is it worth getting up to reach the remote, or get something to drink because it hurts so much. He'll be on bed rest for a couple days, get to a doctor tomorrow and then he'll be back in the saddle before you know it. He's one tough cookie and can roll with the tumbles, just like he did over the hood of that truck.
Look twice for motorcycles.

OMG!!! I am so sorry. Need i remind you both of my brothers were killed on motorcycles.

And look at the Silver Bullet. Such a sad sight. Unfortunately Scott's head is going to really hurt tomorrow...and the brusing and soreness is the worst on the second day after the accident. I would not be surprised if he is out of work all week. He needs to heal. Head injury may not be serious according to concussion scale...but it's a head injury and bodily bashing. He's gonna hurt.
